Enjoy a peppermint mocha year round with this recipe for homemade iced peppermint mochas!

Ingredients

Peppermint Mocha

  • 4 tbsp ground coffee
  • 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp peppermint simple syrup or to taste
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • pinch of salt
  • splash of vanilla

Topping suggestions

  • whipped cream
  • chocolate shavings
  • chocolate syrup
  • sprinkles
  • peppermint candy crumbles

Instructions

  1. If you want to make fresh whipped cream – chill electric beaters and bowl for whipped cream in the freezer for 5-10 minutes. Add the whipping cream to the bowl and beat until stiff peaks form. Chill in the refrigerator until you’re ready to make the mocha. 
  2. Add ground coffee to french press and pour boiling water over the grounds. Let steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Add cocoa powder, peppermint syrup, vanilla and salt to a large glass and pour coffee in when brewed. Use a mini whisk to combine.
  4. Add milk and whisk again. 
  5. Add lots of ice, top with any desired toppings and enjoy!
