Combine all ingredients in a pot over medium heat and whisk until smooth. Stir occasionally, until sugar is dissolved and the mixture begins to gently boil.
Keep it at a gentle boil (reduce the heat a little if necessary) for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Allow syrup to cool for about 15 minutes. If you want to strain out the pulp, you will need to use a fine mesh colander to strain it into a jar.
Enjoy! Store in the refrigerator. Syrup will stay good for about 7-10 days.
