Rose simple syrup is surprisingly tasty and a lovely addition to lattes, lemonade and cocktails. It's super easy to make and also makes a fun homemade gift!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup dried rose petals (food-grade)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Place sugar, water and dried rose petals in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir to combine.

  2. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes. Turn heat down to keep at a simmer instead of a boil if necessary.

  3. Remove from heat and strain syrup through a mesh strainer to remove rose petals.

  4. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator and enjoy for up to two weeks!
