Cranberry Sauce with Orange and Cinnamon

Easy and delicious homemade cranberry sauce flavored with orange and cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh whole cranberries
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • zest from 1 orange
  • juice from 1 orange
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a pot over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved and cranberries begin to burst. Reduce heat slightly and allow to simmer for about 5 more minutes.
  2. Use a spoon to break up the cranberries a bit more, then remove from heat and transfer to container or serving dish.
  3. Allow to cool before serving. 

Notes

If you want a smoother sauce, you can use an immersion blender to smooth it out.
