Peppermint simple syrup made with 3 simple ingredients. Great for coffee, popsicles, homemade ice cream, cocktails and more!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat, stir occasionally and bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Reduce heat slightly and cook for about 15 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let steep for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain syrup through a mesh colander to remove mint leaves and store in a jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
