This iced Earl Grey latte is made with a simple tea concentrate, giving it a bold, balanced flavor that won’t get watered down over ice. It’s smooth, lightly floral, and perfectly creamy — just like a café-style iced latte, but made with tea.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Concentrate:

  • 4 earl grey tea bags
  • 2 cups boiled water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Latte:

  • 1/2 cup earl grey concentrate
  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup milk, depending on preference
  • ice

Instructions

Concentrate:

  1. Steep tea bags in boiled water for 5 minutes. It’s helpful to just brew in the pot you plan to cook the concentrate in.
  2. Stir in sugar + vanilla and place over medium heat.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat to a simmer and cool for an addition 5-7 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to glass jar or bottle and allow to cool before making a latte if possible. The mixture can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Latte:

1. Combine milk and earl grey concentrate, add ice and enjoy!
